Quickly Scott Reveals His Real Agenda
My Word, Governor Rick Scott has been sunshine Florida’s Governor a few weeks and he is well on his way to creating more controversy then the last three good old boy Governors combined.
To me his unwillingness to accept the right peoples’ orders on high speed rail is not only social suicide and illogical, it is insulting to the fashionistas and hipsters across south Tampa who, at least, expect elected officials to comply with their orders to line their pockets.
Also, Scott shows early signs of positioning himself outside of the corrupt influence of the old guard. His inability to realize that in the sunshine state the government is for and by local developers, that the old guard no matter how outdated their thinking may be, are in charge and he is to obey.
The government was created by the good old boys to serve them. If we allow elected officials to answer to common voters we will have mob rule run amok. If this continues even for a short time we risk being subjected to change and even progress.
The Governor and has rabid tea party supporters just fail to comprehend that elections, laws and the whole government structure in Florida is just theatre for the masses. They have made the grievous error in believing the hype, that this is a fair operating democracy with the rule of law and not a banana republic of the third world.
Here in Florida the Civil Rights Act of 1965 still requires federal oversight of election laws, has for years now, because the process is a sham. Accept it, and then move to Dallas for a job like everyone else.
What Scott and his deluded followers do not realize is they are attempting a coup d’ etat against the good old boys. They can not and will not allow Democracy to happen anymore then to have expectations of performance put upon them.
Scott unwittingly has declared open revolt upon the very social and economic of Florida. He and his followers matter to the good old boys as much as the plight of the migrant farm workers who toil here in abject slavery.
The good old boys may be intellectually shallow and hate to work but their roots run deep. They have long memories in their small minds. Upstarts like Scott will be run down to defeat, it is guaranteed.
