Reorg Turn County Plan and Growth Management into Developer Services

An internal memo announced the removal of the head of the Hillsborough county planning and growth management as part of its reorganization and repurposing.

The current director was possible deemed not submissive enough to every whim of the developers so thee actions are meant to focus the department into serving every wish of the development community.

The first public act of this change was the immediate renaming of the department to “Developer Services” reinforcing the agency’s purpose ios to assist and serve developers not exert any oversight authority, regulation or blather on about the people’s rights and laws.

The new department will be a one-stop shop and social center for developers. A new waiting area for county employees who are meeting developers is already under construction. Most large developers will have free office space given to them within the department as well as catered lunches on demand.

Already in operation is the new VIP red carpet valet parking for developers. Current staff will act as the valets to assure they understand their place n the new order. The front entrance to the department offices is now developers only, as is the only water fountain. Staff will be allowed only to enter from the rear loading docks.

The new department head has not been selected by the developers; they are expected to announce their selection within the next few weeks.

“It is high time we had our own department as we control this government. The county apparatus exists to serve and protect the needs of land developers and it needs to be doing a better job at that” Said Joel Stimpa of South Tampa Condos Inc.

In a related matter rumors have surfaced from the county building that the economic development department will be rebeanded as “Tourism marketing and local propaganda”.
