Pessimists Persist
Admittedly it is no surprise that Leading Florida’s’ annual State Survey shows a majority of our residents believe the state is worse off this year.
What is surprising in the survey is an even larger amount believes things will get worse or at best remain unchanged. 65% think this.
This then is the greatest challenge in Florida, residents fatigue from chaffing under the inept government and crumbling economy need to be conned into believing there is hope. This is the greatest marketing and branding challenge the state has faced.
In the face of total leadership failure on the economy we need to heavily throw money at those same leaders to conduct centralized branding campaigns to convince the unemployed, the homeless and the economic stranded Florida residents that things are going great.
Some highlights and thoughts from the poll results.
21% of Floridians say they are seriously wanting to move out of State, up from 17% last year. Who are they kidding? Most of them can not sell their homes and or afford the moving van so no worries there.
65% of Floridians say the state government spends tax revenue in a wasteful manner, up from 54% last year. I am sure the billions showered don high speed rail will solve that problem.
69% of Floridians believe community leaders do what is right in this state only some of the time or never. I think that is a good number considering how corrupt and inept our community leaders are, After destroying Florida in a financial apocalypse 31% are still fooled, we can build on that.
