High Speed Rail Afoot Without The State

Governors Rick Scott’s ill-advised, unapproved and down right unhip rejection of the idealist high speed rail stunned supporters of the project who feel entitled to whatever they want.

Still they insist they are the entitled hereditary rulers of Tampa Bay and will get what they want making the Governors decision a mere inconvenient fact in the press. The project will be built they insist.

Wheels are already churning to try and cajole Scott that HSR is a long term economic branding project that will create temporary low wage blue collar jobs for devastated Florida. Temporary low wage menial labor jobs are the apex of economic development thought in Tampa Bay.

If that argument is not persuasive there is always bribes and threats. The many frothing and cursing social media posts by HSR supporters is only the beginning.

Else these local business entrepreneurs, captain of industry and capitalism all, will work directly with the government to build the rail line without state risk or support. Why, if this was possible, had these men not done do so already? Why have they sought State government support is not clear. If state funds are not needed why did they want them? Wouldn’t capitalists want to do business and not ask the government to so what the private sector can?

Regional business leaders question how the Governor can act without their approval in a manner that affects their income. No mere elected official should ever have dominion over the hereditary elite of Tampa Bay who rule through press releases and control of local governments.

The Greater Tampa Bay Chamber Partnership is looking forward to reviewing the information used by the governor in this decision in a self deluded belief they have the right or ability to influence the decision after it has been made, while attacking the man directly.

There is clear frustration that Scott thinks he has some right to make decisions for all of Florida and Tampa Bay, that he can legally morally or politically defy the will of regional elite nitwits who think branding is economic development and Mc-Jobs are the cornerstone of an economy.

Some have considered formalizing their delusion of an autonomous fiefdom by formally succeeding from the State of Florida to form their own State in Tampa Bay,

What the regional business leaders fear is doing nothing. Time is short. Either it is their ideas and way or it is nothing. They recognize no other viewpoint or idea as valid or real so see anyone not fully supporting them as guilty of doing nothing.

So are you prepared for the one idea wonders who claim leadership yet require the government to carry and fund them win or do you want to do nothing?
