Florida Governor is Consolidating Economic Power and Funding

Florida’s’ Economic Development strategy seems to have become one pf rapid consolidation of power and money away from local incompetent boobs and into the hands of evil Governor Scott and his collection of incompetent boobs in State government.

This is great is Scott’s vision is my vision but it Is not. We can not trust a newbie in Tallahassee; we must stay the course with local established incompetents who help buy advertising to support my column, the same incompetents who have been squandering every opportunity for Florida for decades. I mean really, was Scott even born here? IS he really one of us?

The Florida House last week endorsed creating a single Jobs Agency, the Department of Economic Opportunity. How? By ripping power and payoffs right from the well deserved well manicured hands of locally corrupt bureaucrats. The plan rolls the Agency For Workforce Innovation, Enterprise Florida, Fl. Office of Tourism, Trade and Economic Development, Visit Florida and parts of the Community Affairs into one large entity directly under the vile hand of Governor Scott.

This follows the House giving Scott a $427 million “super-slush fund” to pay for inventive packages to lure businesses and bankcard processors from out of state.

Had he supported rail he would have shown he could understand local needs, but he clearly does not have the vision of capable of continuing the status quo in supporting us, the right people.

This slush fund is our money! The Agency for Workforce Innovation regularly has stimulated the local economy with its funding by ordering thousands of dollars in catered lunches from the Cheesecake factory. That may not happen if we allow change. If things progress past the status quo, think of all the consultants who write meaningless reports that may go hungry>

The biggest backlash so far comes from the corrupt and inept economic groups themselves who are furious at loosing their slush funds or even jobs to some Jonny-come-lately elected official. The horror of the cream od Tampa Bay’s inbred leadership being forced to answer to an authority with no regard for social pedigrees, who could hold job performance over social connections.

Scott is not one of us, the elite, so he can not be trusted to make the right decisions. He can not be trusted to do business with the right people, to take care of the elite while Florida burns in economic Armageddon.
