Committee Opens New Business
A new Hard Rock Café
will open at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Tampa within
three months.
The 17,500 square
foot café will be built on the existing casino complex replace and
expanding the space occupied by Floyd’s Restaurant and Nightclub.
Employees of Floyd’s will be retained and a few dozen more service jobs
will be added.
“this is a win-win
for the casino, the workers, Tampa citizens and visitors who will have
one more generic chain to eat and rink at” said Ken Nogin of the Greater
Tampa Bay Chamber Partnership.
“By giving financial
incentives and waivers we are generating dozens of jobs in the service
industry for the region. UST graduates in architecture, business and
even engineering now can have jobs as servers at the Hard Rock” he
added.
UST grad Harold
Harper was not as enthusiastic :I’m walking to Atlanta, I heard they
have real jobs there.” |
